Jewells On Earth is the brainchild of founders Julia and Joshua Jewell. The Jewells had been contemplating starting an ecotourism company, focusing on their joint love of African wildlife, but felt like there was something more that they could do. Jewells On Earth was created to be more than just an ecotourism company, but to create educational field trips that not only expose guests to the wonders of the natural world, but inspire lifelong learning.
Joshua Jewell
Joshua Jewell is a student at Brigham Young University in Utah, USA. He will be graduating with a bachelors degree in Wildlife and Wildlands Conservation. His educational journey has been far from normal ranging from several years studying desert survival in southern Utah and Arizona to pursuing Safari Guide training in South Africa. He married Julia in October 2023 and she promptly introduced him to the world of SCUBA. Some of his passions include wildlife filming, off-road 4x4 vehicles, and primitive survival.
Julia Jewell
Julia Jewell has a passion for wildlife that was first introduced by her father's love of birds. This fascination resulted in many injured small animals being treated and rehabilitated. She has taken this early interest to the next level and is pursuing training in Wildlife Rehabilitation. Growing up by the Atlantic Ocean, she has a love for the sea and a deep interest in the fascinating creatures in it. She has many qualifications in SCUBA through SSI. A former employee of the Hogle Zoo, she is an enthusiastic teacher and loves to share her knowledge of wildlife.
